Many older people have returned to college as they realize that today's world requires a higher education to attain success. Recently, a 67 year-old woman received her PH.D. It is very important to find a way to fit it. The library is a good place to meet students your age. You are fortunate that you no longer need to waste time partying and and doing other nonsense that freshman do to prove themselves. You're a mature individual with a goal. I suggest that you make a daily plan in writing. So much time for work, if you have a job, so much time for daily studying, and also time for leisure. It's important to give yourself daily free time, if only an hour. As you continue with your studies, it will get easier. Perhaps you could mentor a younger student in your class. He will be more accustomed to studying, but your life experience will help him. Younger students are also under a great deal of pressure, having left home for the first time and it takes them a while to realize that high school is much different from college. A younger student could benefit from the experience of an older one. And you're not so old after all. Many Master's Degree and Ph.D candidates are in their 20's and even 30's. Perhaps one of them could mentor YOU!

Good luck. You're doing an admirable thing. Hang in there, it will be well worth it in the end.
