No it's not embarrassing, it is better than being afraid of the water and good to know for water safety. Besides you learn to refine strokes not just learn how to do them. I love the water and swimming and I think it is a great thing you are doing.

Go!

Swim lessons are much less embarrassing than drowning.

I didn't learn to swim until I was an adult, and I'm still not a great swimmer. But at I can swim enough to help myself if I fall in the water.

Don't be embarrassed - there are many adults who don't know how to swim. That's why most rec centers offer adult swimming lessons - they're in demand! The ones that DON'T take lessons are the ones who should be embarrassed.

Swimming is one of the best low-impact exercises you can do for your health. It improves your cardio, endurance, and strength. Plus, it just feels sooooooo good to be comfortable in the water!

Learning to swim is really important to protect your own life and possibly, others. I think you're very wise to take this step and change your life.

Be Excited and Enjoy Your Lessons!

Nope...not embarrassing at all. It's one of the smartest things you can do. When I use to teach swim lessons I would have some where between 2 to 15 adult students at one time. Some of those were old fishermen. They were tired of being scared while out fishing on the lake. It will be lots of fun! I'm super proud of you for taking lessons! Yeah!

It's quite a common thing for an adult to learn to swim. I know, because I was in my 20s before I learnt to swim. So don't let it bother you. Anyone seeing you will think how cool it is for an adult to be taking lessons. Go for it and enjoy!

do in no way be embarrassed in case you may no longer swim, a minimum of you're prepared to examine, i assume there are few others who can no longer swim too,i heard abt Swim21 that provides inner maximum, semi inner maximum and team swim instructions, consistent with hazard you may attempt them out, or examine this internet site 88db for different swimming instructions too
