I'd much rather live for something or someone than die, yet if fate forces such a decision, my family (wife, son, mother, father) would be the safest. Any other might have to die in my stead. I hope I will be convinced enough of my cherished principles to sacrifice my life for their continuation, yet I am quite capable of reasoning my way out of it.

In general I will die to preserve whatever makes life worth living because without such things (freedom of the soul, justice, the right to choose, etc.) life is just a disgrace and truly I would be better off dead.

I would lay my life on the line for only one thing: another person I loved, be it a friend, family member, romantic interest ... the connections between people are the most concrete things that we have. and if any of the bonds i've build became threatened in the most extreme way possible (as the question asks), I would go "all in," so to speak.

id rather look after other ppls needs before my own...if a train was coming down the track and i seen a pram with a child in it slip off the platform and onto the rails, i would jump on and push the pram out of the way....my country for sure....i love my country and its men enough to want to die for it....if there was a bank robbery and the robber turned to me and said who do i shoot first, make a decision, i would offer me over anyone else...not for hero status, but because its me

if it meant saving someones life, i would die....a few years ago, there was a boy who was getting attacked by a ferocious dog...a lady(stranger)got our of her car and started beating the dog with a tire iron...it did not work, so she threw herself between the dog and the boy and let the dog maul her...the dog tore open her throat and face, but she lived....she is an inspiration to us all...she said she did it, because the boy had a much longer life ahead of him than she had

i'd die for what i believed in. so would anyone else. and therin lies the problem. do people know what they believe in? is strong beleif in something good or bad? i don't know, but the simple fact is that peolpe who believe in something strongly are more willing to die for it. just look at the terrorists all over the world.

No one or anything! I despise the heroes image, To be ready to die for anyone or any cause is to devalue life!
If you devalue your own life... much less would you place any importance to the life of others.
