The whole greatest hits album is great for the newfound listener! go here to see list of songs: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Smashing+Pumpkins/Greatest+Hits

Some other favorites of mine: Crush (gish)..... ahh screw it i can't decide on one from Siamese Dream... Just get the whole album... It'll be worth it. It's probably the most easily-likable album of theirs. The rest you may have to acquire a taste for? One thing about the pumpkins, they are very dynamic. Most of their albums have a balance between harder songs and softer songs... You will never get bored.

Cupid De Locke, Muzzle, Thirty-Three, Stumbleine, and By Starlight are some good ones off Melloncollie and the Infinite Sadness.

Glass and the Ghost Children (well, it's a bit obscure), Try Try Try, Age of Innocence, and Wound are some good ones off Machina/Machines of God.

It's SO hard for me to choose favorites. Usually I wouldn't, but I think you are a worthy fan and deserve it :-p
