I did for ten years and realized they are bumbling idiots. I did however meet a very good doctor, and yes, now I consider what he says, and ask questions, and if I don't like the answers, we come up with other ideas.
Strictly follow orders though? No way.

take those pills even though I don't know what they might be doing to you and shut up? no, I don't follow my doctors orders. if I ever get mangled and need surgery or need penicillin then I would be pleased to do what they tell me, but in all other cases most hamsters know more than doctors.
