Not unless they have heels, and $400 worth of gems on them :) Flip flops to a wedding is a bit tacky.. but then again it depends on the wedding! A normal wedding? heck no. Don't do it. A biker wedding? I'm sure they'll let you slide if you wear 'em.

Hi! Well, if you're under 12, I think it's OK to wear flip flops to a wedding - but over that, informal beach flip flops, are a big no no to a wedding - it's kinda disrespectful... But it really is up to you, I wouldn't do that! =) xx

I'd say it's a little tacky, but if you don't mind being the object of gossip, go for it.
Part of it depends on the attitudes of the other guests and wedding party. If it's supposed to be a formal affair, I'd suck it up and squeeze into those heels. If it's an outdoor shindig and the flipflops go well with the rest of your outfit, it shouldn't be a problem.

i worked a wedding dance last weekend where the guests dress ranged from tuxedos and fancy dresses to cutoffs, t shirts and flip flops. didn't go to the wedding, so couldn't say what was there, but have noticed a radical change in guests appearances at the receptions over the years. baseball caps are everywhere. i personally don't like it, but i'm not paid to like it.....

I guess it depends on how formal the wedding is going to be. If it is on the beach in, say, Hawaii, it would probably be fine. If they are designer flip flops with silver and sparkles, jewels, etc. they may be o.k. Why not check with the wedding planner on the wedding style? and then make your decision.
