im doing a personal narrative and im trying to incooperate what a minister would say during a funeral. He probably starts off dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn ... Are there any examples of a complete recital of this type of speech?

Yeah, the "Dearly Beloved" bit is for weddings, not funerals. It would be more like "We are here today to celebrate the life of..... and would go on to talk about the person's life - the good things they've done, happy memories of good times spent, and the assurance that there would be a meeting again in the afterlife. Hope this helps.

I thought the whole "we are gathered here today" thing was how they started a marriage ceremony.

Anyway, you need to do a search for a eulogy. You may have to do some intense searching for a free one and avoid the sites for the metal band of the same name.
