Wisdom! You first understand what wisdom is. Travel may add to knowledge and will add to experience. However, wisdom is the use of knowlege and experience to produce a desired, good, end.

Wisdom comes from one place and that is God. Yes, somone is mentioing God and I am not sorry if it offends. The bible tells us that "if any person lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who givs liberally aand critizes not".Go get some,.

I think that if I were you I would pick someone like a grandfather, father, mother or teacher. And write what makes you think of them as wise.
I for example have an uncle who I think of as wise.
So if i were assigned this essay I would divide it into parts, his friends, his travels, his writings and his teachings
it would go something along the lines of
When I think of wisdom I think of my wise old uncle. He was a military man, a writer and even an instructor, but to me he was the best story teller I knew.

Then I would go on to cite examples ie as a military man he traveled the world, He lived history and he learned from experience. as a writer, he put his views out there for the world to see. As an instructor he helped other people to gain knowledge and in some cases wisdom. Throughout it all, he made friends with the people around him and was in turn able to learn from them.
my uncle was wise because he not only lived history, saw history and even recorded history. He's wise because he saw the value of the people around him.

I think you get the idea. that it can easily be done if you put it in context.

I take it this essay is about ways to obtain wisdom, so I will answer in that vein.

One learns from life experiences, those of their own and the people around them. Wisdom can be obtained from meditation and self-exploration.

Wisdom is not the exact same thing as knowledge. Try doing some philosophy searches.
