I hear here and there "Borat" and "Borat". Why people like him so much and believe all nonsense he says? Is it normal for Western European Democracies to lie and to say untruth to their citizens? As far as I know; Borat is British? Why didn't he film a comedy about Britain? May be British wouldn’t love Borat so much, when hearing untruth about them?!

Borat claims to be from Kazakhstan because that's where the character portrayed by Sasha Baron Cohen is from. It wasn't necessary that Borat be from Kazakhstan, but from some Eastern European country, where some of the people are perceived to have a culture in common with Borat... one that contrasts greatly with most of the western world -- with hilarious results.

it was racist and the americans didn't even realize it. It had some mixed messages but it was an obvious slant. They made a few jokes against jews or whites but in a fun or sympathetic way, the stuff about eastern europeans was malicious and derogatory.
