I know it's a stereotype, but there's a certain truth to stereotypes.
It's ironic though, because Paris is the capital of perfumes.

It is true! I worked for a French Co. and flew to Paris often for work for extended periods. I did notice that most men have greasy hair. I also had quite a few house guests from France & Belgium.. some of them would bathe once a week!

Well, they need good perfume to cover up that smell, so it makes sense! haha And anyway, I think it's true because I sat next to a French man 7 hours on an airplane. He didn't smell good.

It's also true that the French bailed out the U.S. in times of crisis, going back to the Revolutionary War.

I wouldn't mind a smelly friend like that.

the part about perfume was my sentiment as well .
Ever smell french bread ? the aroma is delicious but the cheese leaves something to be desired sometimes.
