Charcoal - . I found the perfect product for you that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT carbon odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda, fabreeze and all those sprays and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Just put one or two inside your purse (no spills or powder to worry about). I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying and only a couple of dollars

You can try febreeze.. test it in a smal area of the purse to make sure it wont stain it.. maybe on the inside corner or inside a pocket. I dont know if it will totally remove the smell, but febreeze is the safest thing to use on fabrics. If its leather, I would contact a drycleaner.. because I dont think febreeze is supposed to be used on leather.. or any liquid at that...

If it's a really hot day leave it out in the sun. the smell should go away if you turn it around very now and then. The sun is strong so it can kill germs and smells
Good Luck!

Put your purse in a big enough Ziploc bag with a dryer sheet, and seal for at least a day.

1] Buy unscented Oust
2] spray inside of purse thoroughly, and outside from about three feet away - sort of mist it
3] when dry, stuff full of clean newspapers
4] may have to repeat these steps if smell is bad
* I have used this on leather jackets, shoes, metal containers, etc. successfully.
