I'm in a relationship with a woman who is getting close to 50 and she exhibits a lot of depressive episodes that seem to be triggered by innocuous things.
Does anyone have any advice on perimenopause? Also, if you are a 45+ year old woman, and are taking Cymbalta, what has been your experience with it? Good? Bad?

Depression is definitely one of the symptoms of menopause or pre-menopause.

I will be 50 this year and I've wondered the same thing. I've become a real ***** lately but I'm really not happy about my approaching birthday. I actually don't look my age (I really do look much younger) but that doesn't change the fact that I'll be 50!!!! I hate the sound of that number. I'm wondering if part of my problem is hormonal due to perimenopause because that is a very real possibility. I used to be a very sweet, nice person. Now, not so much. P.S. I don't take Cymbalta or any other med so can't help you there.

i glance at it from the perspective that's far off from the media. With the way existence is going at the instant sans the media women have new pressures extra to their lives; to be honest we earned/asked for those pressures; i do no longer propose this in a bad way however the printing is on the wall. What i'm speaking approximately women working the elevating of youngsters looking after families, each and every thing includes a head because it is going to somewhat will. This i've got faith is the conflict. We, as women have performed this to ourselves; why might desire to the adult men decrease back off?
