It boils down to your having two choices. sit down with pen and paper and make two lists. One of them is headed "Continuing as a Shopaholic" and the other is "Life where I shop only for basic physical needs". For each of your lists you have 3 columns, headed "Good points", "Bad Points" and "Consequences". Really think about them, including the scary "Consequences" ones, because most shopaholics are impulsive and haven't stopped to think about the reality of the outcome. the consequences of continuing as a shopaholic include spiralling debt, lying to friends and family, possible relationship breakdown

Also cut all your credit and store cards up right now and in future spend only cash. Cash is real. You can see it. You can tell when you have any and when you don't. If you don't have it, you can't spend it. Have your wages paid into a separate account managed by your mum or someone close, that you can't get access to and arrange for them to pay you weekly out of it a realistic amount of cash. Never go shopping alone. Only take a limited amount of cash out with you. Tell your family what's been going on, and tell them how you're dealing with it. Make a chart showing all your debts, and each month scribble out the top bits of the columns showing what you've managed to pay off.

Hope that helps

How about not going to shops as often. If you know you are going to falter, then do not go to where the temptation is. Make shopping or buying something a reward for doing other things. For example, if you are in school then tell yourself that after 5 A's on exams you will allow yourself to spend $100.00 at your favorite shop. Do something like that. You know what your temptation is so don't put yourself in the position to spend all your money shopping.

So shop then, god your a girl it's your job. If you have the money then do it. I don't know about you but I'm loaded so I'm not worried about going broke. But in all smartness if you don't got the money and you can't get afford what you need then stop shopping for clothes.

Well if you have the money go right away and shop 'til you drop!!! lol
But if you don't have a money tree in your backyard, you might wanna just go shopping once a month...only for the things you really need. And from time to time...get some things that aren't essentials. have-fun!!

When you go broke and can't take care of your needs because you spent it on everything you want; you will learn not to spend too much.
