If the blood appears black in color that just means that it's old blood that was never released.

Have her see her ob-gyn. While there are many causes of dark blood, an expert's opinion is the most comforting.

Yeah when it appears black it's just old. If it doesn't appear normal in a day or so I'd call the doc.
