All except the pond...swimming/boating/sailing is lots of fun!

Everything but the pond...unless it was a fish pond with a waterfall.

I grew up with a cabin on the Illinois river. We vacationed on a lake almost every weekend and about once a year, we would go to the beach.

I still do that today plus I have a house with an inground pool.
I love to swim. Who am I kidding? I just love being in or atleast near water.

I can have a blast but relax at the same time. Nothing beats being in the water.

River. Or ocean. Swimming pools are infused with chemicals. Ponds are muddy, and they get stagnant unless there's fresh water flowing through. Otherwise, they get full of algea and they're gross. Lakes are just bigger versions of ponds. There's still that gross, slimy feeling on the bottom, and there's a feeling of things not being the freshest. Oceans are beautiful, but so vast they're almost frightening. Still love 'em, though. I love swimming in both rivers and oceans. They are always moving, and they are a heck of a lot more fun than the other options. Both are more beautiful and inspiring, too.

You mean to physically be in or to look at?

I would prefer to a pool to swim in. I know where the bottom is.

To look at, I would prefer a lake, a river, or the ocean. They are so beautiful!

I don't like ponds for either answer--ick.

If your talking about where I most like to swim, I'd have to say in a swimming pool, because I feel safest swimming in one. But if you're talking about which body of water you prefer to be at, it's the ocean. I love going to the ocean and walking the beach. I so miss the Oregon beaches and I want to go back sometime soon.

Loved going to the pool when I was a kid but only go now for my kids. Never swam in a pond and I hate the smell of salt water and almost drown in the Pacific Ocean from a rip tide.

Swimming pool. I don't like ponds and lakes, who knows whats swimming around in there, and as far as the beach goes, it smells, the water is dirty, and the salt bothers my skin.

No swimming pool because people piss in them.
No pond because they are filled with scum.
No river because that is where all the hit men throw away their dead bodies.
No lake because they are polluted with feces and toxic wastes.
So I guess I would pick the ocean.

Swimming pool: When I don't feel like driving far to the beach... when I need to cool off.... tan.... hang out with friends at my house.

Pond: Something to look at. Fish, etc.

River/Lake: Wakeboarding, tubing, white water rafting, fun vacation...

Ocean: "Beach day", day out, tanning, socializing, surfing.. etc.

Those are my reasons! Have a great day. [=
