there are very convincing arguments that sexuality is a continuum not a dichotomy. By that I mean, it is more like a line of gradually increasing and decreasing preferences at either end being homosexual the other being heterosexual.

It is very likely that someone who is raised in a hetero-normative society (ie where hetero /straight lifestyles are constantly portrayed as normal/ideal/the only 'correct' lifestyle) would assume he is straight, only to discover later on through experimentation or by deep soul searching or both that he actually is attracted to people of his own gender.

In this case it would not be "turning" gay (I personaly don't believe anyone can "turn" gay or "turn" straight or anything else), only discovering his preferences in more particular detail.

Regarding to Kinsey Report - the Kinsey Scale, Dr. Kinsey divide people sexual orientation into 7 Levels:

0 - Exclusive Heterosexual
6 - Exclusive Homosexual

So the higher the number of a person, the higher the possibility for him to turn gay.

No, people just don't wake up, i decide, gee i think im going to be gay today. Most likely if a "straight" guy becomes gay, he was always gay, and in denial or just did not know.

No! A straight person may be curious about homosexuality, even try it, but a person can'y not turn gay. Heterosexuality sexuality, just like homosexuality is it a preference not a decision.

Well it's more a case of discovering you are a certain sexuality, so the guy was never 'straight' before, he just assumed he was.

Some believe that Homosexuality is a choice. Others believe that it is a decease. Christian groups claim to have successfully "cured" gays from their addition. if that is true then it is your choice.
