In the whole scheme of things, there are human desires and the things desired for.

Since the list for things desired for are really endless, the thing to look at is human desires.

The higher level of desires one has, the more things are needed to satisfy those desires. Hence, if one has very little desires, they are actually getting close to everything they want. But that still leaves us with not getting everything we want.

Buddhist belief strives to devoid of self - desires and if you have reached nirvana, then you really dont have any desires and thus, you get everything you 'want.'

Hinduism states you can get EVERYTHING you want...except that it then turns a new question to you, "what do you want?"

But you can always try out. If your wants are something like becoming an alien; it 's eveident that you won't get it..so be practical, optimistic and put in your efforts to get what you want..at least try out
