They are both worth the ticket price.
Shrek The Third: I liked it pretty funny but all the funniest stuff was in the commercial.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End: It has some wierd things make sure you pay close attention. It was better than the others.

Pirates 3, a close one. Pirates 3 was longer and had quality effects / acting all the way.

POTC 3 is the better film but Shrek will probably earn more money in the long run. It has a bigger audience.
