Hey I'm bored and my 44-yr. old best friend thinks it "cool" for me to date one of her male friends who's 24 yrs older than me. I'll confess that people might perceive of me, a 23 yr old, as a gold digger if I do so. But heck my best friend is 21 yrs older than me. LOL!!!

Heck No! It isn't taboo and most people wouldn't think you were a gold digger. The only people that would know about it , are your friends and they KNOW you.
Listen, my best friend is dating a guy 20 years older and they have been together for almost 9 years.
Don't worry. Date him if you want. It's a lot more common nowadays.

I once heard the suggested formula for determining how young was too young is half your age plus seven years. Although, you are a grown man with a mind of his own. If it feels right to you, go for it! When I was 22 I dated a woman 43. She was awesome! I have no regrets. Good luck, Dude!

I don't think you will be perceived as a gold digger just on his age....is he rich?.. That's not even that old. If it makes you happy...there's nothing wrong with it, you can choose who you want.

nothing wrong with it, taboo yes. im 24 dating a blk man that is 49. so i get looks either way. older men are more mature, and settled in their life

i don't find that to be nasty I myself happen to be attracted to much older men then me my ex was actually 9 years older then me so it wouldn't be gold digging if your actually attracted to the guy try it out if it don't work out then it wasn't meant to be you don't lose nothing by trying good luck xoxo
