I'll be a senior in high school next year and I have a 4.0 GPA, but here's the thing: I have four math credits, but the last one was College Prep/Stats---I didn't take Trig. I also haven't taken Chemistry.

How important do you think those things are? I'm strong everywhere else, AP Bio, 3 Foreign Language credits, AP US Gov/Politics, Honors English---is that enough?

I start filling out applications at the end of summer. What do you think?

I forgot to mention that my intended major is Political Science, possibly a minor in Women's Studies. Liberal Arts area for sure.

I thinkyou have a very good chance of getting into American U. It is a great school for political science majors because of the location. The campus is interesting, and it is easy to get from there to downtown DC, so you could easily do an internship in a government office.

If that is really your first choice, I think you should consider applying early decision or early action, whatever they call it.

Good luck.

You will be absolutely fine as long as you aren't trying to get a science/math/engineering degree. I would say you are more than set for a liberal arts degree. Especially something like political science, english, history, etc.

Get those applications done, find someone who can write you a stellar letter of recommendation and do well on the entrance exams (ACT/SAT). Good luck.
