Who else is pissed that Charlie died, and most of all, how he died?? Why did he stay in that room and not close the door from the other side? Or run and jump in the water and swim to surface? I'm so mad, he was my favorite character!!

Yes! I know! He is my favorite character too! Why did they have to kill him off? I think he knew he had to die to get everyone off the island. Thats why he stayed in the room because if he changed fate and didn't die, maybe no one would get off the island. He was most concerned about Claire and the baby because Edmond said that he had a vision that he saw Claire and the baby getting on a plane. And he didn't want to risk them not getting on the plane.

The producers' contention was that if they made Charlie all heroic and then he didn't die, it wouldn't mean as much. Not from where I'm standing. I don't really see the point of letting him get himself together just to kill him off. They could have at least let him stay high if he was going to die.

Oh, but he was so earnest. I love Charlie even more now. He really came full circle and was more than redeemed.

I was not happy either. I wondered the same thing about the door. Why didn't he run out of the door and seal it from the other side? I think the producers and writers jumped the shark on that one.

i know!!!!!! Charlie was my fav. from the beginning. he could have just gone to the top. there would have been air trapped in it. and i didnt like how the "flashback" of the future was either. i want to know why they have to go back!

Again, he stayed there because he felt it was his destiny to die in order to save Claire and Aaron.
