Until a few years back ...No !

But, as a Cancer survivor ( 98 & 02 ) I rethought it out.
As a Herb ( Hemp) it has no dangerious effects. It sure as heck helps when you endure 4 hours a day of Chemotheraphy.

I would DEFENTLY have an age restriction though, I feel that 25 would be a mature Leagle age to purchase the herb ..

Yes,I smoke and I am now ..and it DOSEnot ..effect you ..your mind is just draggin the line ..

I don't think it causes any more damage or problems than alcohol and it is legal if you are an adult so maybe it should be too. There would be more room in the jails for the real criminals that are dangerous to society not just themselves.....To add to my answer: to drink and drive is illegal so they could make it illegal to drive under the influence of pot too. That would be the only danger to society causing an accident while you were high. For some people alcohol makes them violent just look at all the fights in the bars but yet it is still legal. It causes violence, etc and marjuana can't be any worse....alcoholics, potheads they are going to use it whether it is legal or not. Most people could handle it being legal and not over do it the same as alcohol and cigarettes. Although except for second hand smoke cigarettes do not pose a threat to society the way overusing alcohol sometimes does. I don't think legalizing marijuana would make more problems with it, it would make less.....Some people might even stop using it when the thrill of doing something illegal was gone. Maybe, supposably addicting but like cigarettes I tried it but never became addicted to it.......

Yes it shold be legal, go to youtube and check out Penn and Tellers "War on drugs" Bulls##T. Why are cigarettes legal? They kill 50,000 people per year in the U.S alone, Why is alcohol legal it kills 44,000 people per year(not counting road kill) Yet there is not 1 documented case in the history of marijuna usage of anyone dying from pot, on the contrary it has shown to be effective in treating some illnesses, yet it is still lumped into the same catergoy as heroin and crystal meth. 20 million people in the U.S. smoke pot, 100 million have smoked pot at one point in their lives. Non-violent pot smokers and sellers are taking up valuable jail space due to mandatory sentencing guidelines, where there are repeat child molestors and rapist on the streets. We are wasting lots of money on a product that would have huge tax revenue if it were legalized and regulated by the government. Not to mention the wasted time our justice system uses to prosecute non-violent pot users.

I have smoked it for 30 years and raised 2 tax paying healthy college educated young men. Never spent a day on the unemployment line and together with the wife bring in 100k plus. Never broke any laws other than speeding in my life.

I personally don't smoke Marijuana but it is a natural herb. I think that it will be legalized one day. With all of the controversy it might take some time to get it to pass through congress.

Yes...and I don't smoke it. It definitely helps people with several medical conditions. Just limit the legal age and amounts so people aren't buying and then reselling.

Yes.
advantages:
You don't get it from the same source that will also be able to sell you the harder stuff.
Quality control.
The money doesn't go to criminals.
A lot of money will be saved in the justice department and the police can focus on their real job.
Alcohol and cigarettes do much more damage to society and people.

Of Course, look at all the tax revenue we miss out on, The end of organized crime involved with smuggling it on the black market. With a portion of the profits of legalized pot, they could treat the ones addicted. I don't use it either.
When I was a teen I did try it, and I inhaled too.

Yes, it isn't any worse than other legal drugs (alcohol and tobacco) and legalizing it would reduce several crimes related to its production and distribution.
