Depends on what Operaint system you have and what programs you are running.

but you should see a good boot up difference definitely.
Now if youre just searching the Web, then not really.
If youre running multiple programs at once...Id say you will.

Especially if oyu have Windows Vista.
512 MB is minimum for home version.
So 2 GBs will serve you just right.

If you have windows XP, then youll see faster boot up, and a very smooth flow of programs where you wont have any trouble at all, surfing the web, working with 3 or 4 programs at one time.

Yes it will, but you will only notice big difference when you upgrade from 512mb to 1gb. may be you would not notice when you upgrade from 1gb to 2 gb. Acually the speed also depend upon the programs and processor speed. and also the Front Side Bus. i can say that the memory would certainly improve the speed of your notebook.

yes it will alot, especially if you are running window vista instead of XP, ram, in case u didnt know is memory that your computer uses to run applications and programs, so if your computer has 512 ram all its programs that its runnin at one point have to be less than that. i assure makin it 2 gig ram..will greattlyyy and i mean greatly increase ur speed, it will use ur nice 1.6 processor to its full capacity and more
