Sweety, I am 50 years old. Been threw my period and done with it. I ate anything and every thing that I wanted to eat when I was on my period. I never did have a problem at all.

Drinking tea or hot milk helps a lot though with cramps I find, but some people find it makes the bleeding a little worse because of the heat. But it actually makes the cramping stop because heat opens up the tube thingies.
