Learning that you have been lied to, believing in someone or something and finding out that they or it was false. Developing a pattern of doing something and finding out that something else would make it easier. Unfortunately, we put our trust in people and in things too much. We teach our children schooling and yet nothing about getting along in life or relationships. Using just religion as an example there are some books out now "The Laughing Jesus" and "The Jesus Mysteries" written by Timothy Freke and another person, which discounts 2,000 years of what we have been told, and they document it. They are two of the most controversial books out today and I would love to see a panel discussion on TV with leaders of several church groups. Then we have political change. Some Republicans turned against President Bush because of Iraq. Basically, no one really changes, and the only reason they do is for convenience, they mellow and bend but seldom change entirely. Then you have drug addicts who kick the habit and change their way of thinking, prostitutes who find out it is not all roses and change their way of thinking and their life also. So these are just some of the things that cause changes, usually for the good. Although, people have changed their way of thinking for bad reasons also like Charles Manson who went through hell in his early life and changed his opinion and way of thinking towards everything. Hopefully, change should be for the good.

I loved my kids so so much, but when my daughter got engaged at age 25 and married and turned her back on me and I had no idea, I also realized there are many ways of thinking.I am an extreme extrovert and she an extreme introvert so now I have done a lot of study on the 16 personality types because that is the only reason I lost her. We really do love each other but can't understand each other. we are so different. It is important to know there arfe many ways to look at things.

Changing is extremely hard. The reason it is so hard is because we are so blind to our shortcomings. Worse than that we build up insurmountable amount of denial and justification. Such a thick wall will protect us from having to look at the truth. After all, the truth is always painful.

ROSIE!! IT'S YOU!!
I think Elizabeth Hasselbeck could change my mind. She's SO intelligent (I just laughed out loud) and interesting (OMG, did I say that?)
Rosie, anything YOU say would convince me (what did you say on the show? Big fat lesbian Rosie - I'm convinced of that, so it's working, see?)
