If your motherboard will support the DDR2 800 you will notice a small difference in performance. However you may be better off just investing in a higher quality brand of memory such as Corsair. There is a significant performance difference between Memory Brands and if you spend a little more you can significantly improve your performance.

The performance difference could be significant in an AMD AM2 set up but hardly on an Intel set up. DDR2 667's lower latency somehow compensates for its lower speed.

The $40 expense could be worth it if you are an overclocker.

It depends on your motherboard speed. If it runs the higher speed get the faster ramm. If it doesn't, the ramm will throttle down to the lower rate and youve just wated your money
