I was born in HI and go back every summer...love it
I went to FL once... kinda hot n buggy... not a huge fan
what do u think?

I was born and raised in FL, have been here my entire life. I'm on the Central East Coast, about 45 minutes south of Cocoa Beach. There are some parts of FL that are not very attractive (inland areas) and other parts that are awesome (beach areas).
I'm going to be moving to TX in a few months actually, mainly because I've never lived anywhere else and I want to before I get married and have kids and it's more than just me to worry about.
It's very hot here, most of the year... I had my AC on in March because it was almost 90 degrees outside. And it's incredibly humid, which makes it feel even hotter. You sweat just walking out to your car. Blech! And it is pretty buggy, right now it's "love bug season" so everywhere you go there are clouds and clouds of lovebugs, they get smashed onto your car and you have to wash it constantly, otherwise they'll destroy the paint.
I visited HI a couple years ago, and thought it was just beautiful, but too expensive to live. Unless I won the lottery and then I would be able to enjoy it!

I think you are right. I would NEVER want to live in Florida. Too humid, buggy and too many illegals.
