It's called a "ream" of paper, by the way. 500 sheets is a "ream".

Anywhere from $2 to $5, depending on the whiteness, the weight, and content/quality.

I used to buy paper from Costco. They have this large carton of 10 reams for like $21+tax, so that's just over $2 per ream.

If you buy them separately, try Office Depot or such stores. About $3-4 per ream for the white / copy paper, which is good enough for laser or inkjet.

I look for sales usually (office supply stores, Walmart, KMart, Sam's, Costco) of better quality paper...and pay approx. $2.50 - for a ream (500 sheets) or $3.75 for 800 sheets of 20# paper. (It's the best for most copiers, as lighter weight paper slides through in multiple sheets). Personal preference really.
