Once before each period. Though you ovulate once, you are fertile for about 5 days each cycle (4 or 5 days before you ovulate, and sometimes 1 day after).

A female only ovulates once a month. If a female ovulated more than once, which is unheard of, then she would have 2 periods in one month.

You can ovulate more than once in a month, but it is very rare. Usually the second one happens only a few hours after the first, so you won't notice any difference in your charting signs.

a "normal" cycle is about 28 days. on average you ovulate 14 days before your period. this is called the luteal phase. sometimes ovulation comes right after the period. so your cycle could be anywhere from 14 days, and sometimes up to 40++. if you ovulate right after your period you MAY ovulate twice in one month. three times i think is probably unheard of. but this i am not sure about.

It is highly unlikely that you would ovulate more than once.
