"The Raven" is undoubtedly Poe's most well-known poem, although "Annabel Lee", "To Helen", and "The Bells" are often anthologized. Poe's two most popular short stories are "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Tell-tale Heart". In addition, Poe invented the detective story genre, writing "Murders in the Rue Morgue" and "The Purloined Letter".
