if we can prove the existance of gravitons. The answer might be yes. If we can create/alter/modify gravitons we then can directly/indirectly alter space time. But that is alot of big if's. And we have no means yet to prove they exist. The hadron collider might help but that is yet to be seen. The only real concern is it would take at minimum 2 fields of gravitons/anti-gravitons(if such a critter could exist) 1 field to bend space around your object/ship and another field to prevent the field warping space from WARPING YOU. not to mention the INCREDIBLE energies needed to achieve this and the passive radiation alone would most certainly be lethal to probably all forms of matter since it would ignore the properties of time/space/suns/blackholes/and anything made of matter. Would make a heck of weapon too.. no need to blow it up. just warp it to infinity. galaxy blocking your view no problem warp space to an infinite point and no more offending galaxy. Best part would be is the inhabitants of the galaxy would never even realize it was being done to them.

In Some Form Yes
Furthest Galaxies Are Moving Away From Us Faster Than The Speed Of Light.
So Much For The Theory, That Mass Increases to Infinity At The Speed Of Light. Totally Absurd.

I would assume someone will eventually research and develope it. However, i don't think it will be in the star trek vision in terms of speed.
Also, i think the idea of using so called "worm holes" for travel is entertaining but eventually will be a little like the star trek warp drives.
When we finally do reach a level of technology to travel the stars it will definitley be interesting to see if any of our past fictions about the method are accurate.

probably not like in star trek or star wars. the scientists seem pretty convinced that mass increases as speed approaches speed of light so physical bodies can't go faster than light.
However warp drive might exist if it is as in Contact with Jody Foster. worth watching. anyway, if they can create wormholes then...?

The warp drive is a sci-fi invention.
It will always and only exist in the sci-fi realm.
