ADFs favorite food is bloodworms (live or frozen) but will accept willingly, live or frozen brine shrimp, live (chopped up) or frozen earthworms, live or frozen daphnia, any live worm small enough to swallow, frozen beef heart, or fish fry.
ADFs dont really care for commercial foods, so these are mainly a waste, but some people have tried with success.
The best time to feed ADFs is night time. Live foods are much better, they find their food by searching on the bottom of the aquarium using sight and smell. They occaisonally shed their skin as they get older, and will sometimes eat it.
The do not eat algae.

No, they will not eat algae. Get some sinking frog pellets and add them in when you feed the fish. Those will sink to the bottom so your frogs can eat. I have pellets called Frogbites for my frogs, I also feed them live blackworms, they really like them.

I have 8 African dwarf frogs in with my fish. And i feed them HBH frog and tadpole bites along with frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp and the reg tropical fish flakes. I Have put algae wafers in the tank for them and my other fish. and they DO like them. I have sat and watch them eat. I feed my frogs in the morning than again about 4 or 5 in afternoon. and i seat and watch them so i know they eat other than at night.

Sorry, but frogs are carnivores. They will get more to eat if you give some sinking foods like thawed frozen bloodworms and pellet food. Your fish will try to steal this as well (it's okay if they eat some, as long as the frogs get their share). You can get a turkey baster to put the food right in front of the frogs, so they have a decent chance to get some food.

They can be fed any type of algae, shrimp, or krill pellet. If you order online you can get whatever you like to where you are :) Best of luck :) No, your question did not bother me in the least. I do applaude you for asking, many wouldn't. You are not at all whom I was reffering to, and I sincerely apologize that I made you feel as though that was the case.

Nemo is absolutely right, they are night eaters, and do not eat algae. You can try a variety of food combination for them.
