Its very strange but for me good looking guys are purely 'easy on the eye' not sexually attractive. I like people who are pretty so to speak, but i cant stand the thought of doing anything sexual with them. Sure ive been madly in love with hollywood actors but even then sexualness dosent come into it, i just think their good looking or play great characters and stuff. Im definately not a lesbian, but i just cant understand whats wrong! Whenever my friends talk about their sex lives i cringe at the thought of the actual act. It seems rather disgusting to me. Ive never had a boyfriend or anyone even remotely interested in me, so im wondering if im just asexual or something?

you might be just not ready right now, or have not met the right person, or might be asexual and just not care, any or all of these are just fine, dont beat yourself up over this,

could be or you may have been sexually abused. You say you cringed at the thought of the actual act, that would make me think that you have been sexually abused pysically or nonpsyically. (IE, someone watching you undress, watch you take a bath, not give you privacy) Or your parents could have had a weird attitide about sex that you interpret sex as a bad thing, you may require some theraphy to unravel this all and find out if it is this or you are Asexual. www.theophostic.com.

To those who are saying that asexual is strictly about reproduction without sex, there is also asexuality which refers to a sexual orientation.
Here's a definition:
a general term or self-designation for people who do not exhibit sexual attraction, or who otherwise find sexual behavior unappealing.

And perhaps you are, you should talk to a therapist to try and determine if its something physically, phsychologically, or something else.
Don't worry about it, there are actually many people who are like that.

humans are not asexual. Asexual I believe is reproducing without sex (male/female).

However, a lot of people have hollywood crushes. Maybe you're having some curiousity with some friends or something. Basically every person goes thru it at some point in their life

Asexual does define no interest in sex with either sex, but no interest in sex can also be caused by medical conditions. Sex drives also vary from individual to individual.

If you consult your physician and there is no underlying cause for your aversion to sex, then you may be asexual.

It depends on your age and if you started menstruating since this is the starting point for females to start a big hormonal imbalance. All other answers are pretty good as well.

Their is no way you can be asexual. Asexual reproduction is the formation of new individuals from the cell(s) of a single parent. Asexual is how plants and trees reproduce not humans.

You could be Asexual or you may have a chemical imbalance. You should have a check up with your doctor to make sure your hormones are at the correct levels and if they are then don't worry about it. Just be happy being you. Good luck. :)

Maybe. You could also just have psychological issues about sex, a very poor libido, religious / cultural hangups or you could just be a huge prude. It's more likely that you're one of these things before you are asexual. But I'm not saying you can't be asexual, it's just unlikely because asexuality is so rare.

Yeah, it sounds like you're asexual. But there's nothing wrong with that.
