We had a toilet leak that went through to the basement ceiling. What is the average price for a contracted carpenter to come over and replace a small bathroom floor? (There is a bath/shower in this bathroom as well... does that matter?)

This has a lot to do with everything. As sight unseen, it's hard to say. He may have to strip everything down to the studs and start over, on the other hand, he may be able to save something and give you a break.
It may run into the hundreds though.

It really depends on how much damage was done both to the flooring and the joists under the floor. Make sure that anyone you hire is up to date on insurance and get references. And check the references. Since most companies give free estimates, don't be afraid to get 3 or 4 estimates. Just tell them you'll get back to them and let them know. Be very specific, have whatever you are going to put down already picked out, it's hard to give an accurate estimate without knowing all the details.

it depends on if the wood is damaged under the tub then your talking a pretty penny but if your gonna do that a bathroom remodel might be worth the price.
