Excellent question, it very much makes me think of a song, "The Impossible Dream." It is about the eternal struggle of good and evil. They can not ever exist in harmony, however, they do balace each other. To have one, the other must also exist.
This is what is known as dualistic nature. It is a common theme in all things. I truly believe God does exist, and I do believe the devil and that there is a battle going on btweenthem, as there is between any parent and child. I do not believe that a fallen angel though would be evil, for then would have existed only one time. That is why I believe that there is a great, true demon out there and it is the opposite of God, but just as powerful as Him, it is because of this thing that there is evil in our world. How ever, it not what is commonly known as Satan, it is something far worst, and the only thing protecting us from it God Himself.

No. But now that I've said that I think Western culture in general is impaired by it's strong focus on dualities. We don't see or accept the grey area in the middle. Good and evil exist, but no person is totally good or totally evil. And those of us who are relatively very good do not live in perfect harmony with relatively evil ones.

It is living together in perfect harmony. Evil or good wouldn't exist without each other...

they are always exist together in perfect harmony without any definitions. It called Whole, God...Nothing exist outside of That meanings, all within...We do not understand it although any each of us may detect both within..Our mind and judgment divided whole on good and bad, where bad may contain good and good would be easily considered to be bad, sincerely....and divisions still going on. It will be restored into Whole again if human will be capable embrace and forgive both without judgment. Sounds weird, but it is only solution, for nothing can be excluded from a Whole, God, and from its offspring, human as His image and likeness.

Of course it is impossible, for the concept of goodness does not allow for the harming of innocents. The exception is that if a Schindler can save a group of people by pretending to not see evil, then his pretense is righteous for a limited period of time. If evil is understood as the deliberate harming of others, then it must be unequivocally opposed, sooner or later.

Yes.
The co-existence of good and evil does not result in harmony, but in a semi-balanced, sustainable disharmony.
Hence the state of Humanity; Mankind is both the greatest good and most monstrous evil in the world. We are not in a state of utter chaos, nor are we in a state of calm.

It is NOT impossible for GOOD and EVIL to live together. It is proven to us through science. Look at magnetism, opposites attract. Look at Far Eastern philosophy, the Ying- Yang. Having GOOD and EVIL living together is what makes the world go round. Birth and Death

it is possible to have both good and evil living together, that is as long as they understand eachother and willing to contribute to the greater good of peace
the elements of good and evil can not be isolated, they must live together, because when they are together, that is life
dont you know? all opposites need each other to exist
for example, think of a coin, the front side need the back side to show that the front side is really the front side, the back side need the front side to define itself

no, true opposites can't exist in perfect harmony. their dissimilarities are what makes one or the other possible. without good one cannot know evil and vise versa. without the constant battle, either would cease to be
