The President of the United States (also known as the POTUS) has the AUTHORITY to represent the USA and to speak to and negotiate with other nations. It's in the Constitution, or do you also not know how to read?
The POTUS is the Chief EXECUTIVE of this country. That is why he heads the Executive Branch of government. If the POTUS chooses to speak to Iran, that is his right and his authority to do so.
In case you weren't aware, and you probably were not, the State Department is a part of the EXECUTIVE BRANCH, and is the department that normally handles international issues FOR the President.

Why must the U.S. having talks with Iran be condemned when we share mutual interests?
What do you know about the U.S. policies and procedures regarding immigration?
Do you have some kind of "inside track" to information regarding Rupert Murdoch's path to U.S. citizenship?
If you know of something illegal, contact the authorities.
If you can't get any action, don't feel bad. The Republicans couldn't get Clinton arrested for his murders or rapes, either.

Any thinking rational person realizes that FOX news is bias toward Republicans and the conser vative right. They are slick and entertaining, and do attempt to be a news organization, but no one seriously believes that they are either fair or balanced. Just do the only thing you can do to harm FOX news...stop watching it. I did. Not watching FOX news has allowed me to sleep better.
And you are correct about Murdoch. He reminds me of Henry Ford, who distributed his "newspaper" full of antisemetic propoganda at all of the Ford dealerships across the country for years and years, yet not many people ever dared raise their voice, did they.
