You are asking a variation of "Is a bird in the hand worth two in the bush" ? For birds, the answer is yes. For people, there are far more things to consider. I suspect most people here would say that your love for the person you are with is tainted by your lust for someone else. Thus the lust for the other will grow stronger as your love for the one you are with lessens as you as you see their faults and weaknesses. I am going through this myself. Our society does not allow a solution which keeps everybody happy.

The love grows stronger. It takes very little to kill off lust.

Both. I think it's human nature to lust for someone, even if you're deeply in love with someone and never plan to leave.
