I have a few questions about Christopher Columbus.
Where is he from and who did he work for.
Where was he planning on exploring and how did he get there.
What did he find when he got there.
How did his trip affect the natives and the rest of the world.
If you can answer all of these questions thank you. You dont need to answer all of these.

He was from Genoa, Italy. He worked for the King and Queen of Spain. He was trying to find a better route to Asia going across the Atlantic. He sailed with 3 caravels the Nina, the Pinta and Santa Maria. He "found" one of the islands in the Caribbean. He actually thought that he had made it to Asia. The affect on the native population was very bad. A lot would become enslaved and die of diseases that the Europeans brought with them. As for the affects for the rest of the world, that would take too long to answer.

Everyone knows that the Vikings were in America first as well. Their attempted colonies failed, and they abandoned the New World. Columbus just sort of stumbled upon America by accident, and to his dying day, believed he had landed in Western Asia. During the Ice Age, nomadic Europeans crossed a land bridge to North America as well, causing humans to spread around the world. You could say they "discovered" it too if you wanted to.

he came from spain, he worked for the queen. He was going to india but he knew that the world was round most people knew but nobody went around to india that way. He was maybe looking for the northwest passage. He flew on a magic pony, he found the bahamas. The natives were all killed or enslaved, the world became a tyrannical empire ruled by the west.

Don't believe the above answer. Liberals hate decent people including all of the founders.

And make certain to celebrate Columbus Day!

he was from spain and he was working for Queen Isabella. He was trying to get to the Orient for gold and spices by sailing west. He found no gold, instead landing in central america(El Salvador, i think). he opened up the "New world" to exploration and ended the natives' lives as they new it.

LOL you better google him for yourself! There is so much wrong info up here it's damn silly! Of course, it just goes to prove that it's better to do your own work than to cheat!
(P.S. Stay away from Wikipedia too!).
