when they fall out of trees??? i mean isnt tht like falling out oof the empire state bulideing for us?

Gravity works the same, no matter how big or small you are. When an object falls it accelerates at a rate of about 10 meters per second, per second. That means that in the first second the object falls 10 meters and in the second, it falls 20 meters. Falling out of a tree would not accelerate the Caterpillar enough to harm it. Falling off the Empire State building would accelerate you to terminal velocity which I believe is about 120 miles an hour. This would kill both you and the Caterpillar.

Ceitipillars don't go on the empire state bulideing becoz King Kong would squish them.
