4x^2 + 4x - 11 = 8
4x^2 + 4x - 19 = 0
[4x^2 + 2(2x)(1) + (1)^2] - (1)^2 - 19 = 0
(4x + 1)^2 - 1 - 19 = 0
(4x + 1)^2 - 20 = 0
(4x + 1)^2 = 20
4x + 1 = +/- 2 * sqrt 5
4x = -1 +/- (2*sqrt 5)
x = [-1 +/- (2 * sqrt 5)]/4
