She fell down and still made the top 5 vs Miss Mexico who did not make it and that is where the pageant is being held!

Somebody here showed some common sense when stating "it was not mexico that booed, it was just a bunch of mexicans who decided to do so. "

But then, the little common sense shown goes to the drain when saying "this is the country where senate members throw furniture at each other , what should we expect from ordinary people ?" Does this mean the rest of the world should conclude that all american students go on shooting rampages ? Of course not. Does this mean that the rest of the world should think that all of you call us "beaners"? No.

Such generalizations, only lead everyone to radicalism, to hate. Let´s not turn our continent, our freedom based countries* into a second version of the middle east.

* (yes, we mexicans are free in the majority , it is not true that we all live in fear, in extreme poverty, in a 3th world .. what an awful term by the way)

A few people made a huge mistake, and everyone notices it. Most americans (people that live here, or tourists) are treated respectfully here. We apreciate and notice your good actions toward us. And we also respond with many (humble mostly) actions towards you.

I bet usa news , faithful to their scare tactics system, will be showing it all around the states for a long time.

Such a shame. They should be a part of the solution, not a part (most) of the problem.

In the name of our country, forgive those few , noisy people. Crowds not always behave the way they should . This should not be taken as the official mexico stance. The worst part was for miss USA, poor girl, I just hope she is doing fine.

I am mexican and I feel pretty dissapointed with how the mentality some people have. The sad facts in that world events like this give a country's people a very bad image. I don't support whatever is going with the immigrants, but the Miss USA pageant has nothing to do with it, event deciding to make the show here. I think the problem was making the show in Mexico City, that city is run by a crazy goverment party that is made up of mostly crooks, that's why no one likes mexico city's citizen in the rest of the country, we even call them "chilangos" as an insult, but they like it very much. You know how americans consider the N.Y. citizens bad persons? well, mexicans do the same with the mexico city people. No one likes them for being savages. And I believe that's who were booing the lady...

She was booed way before she fell down. She was booed before she showed up that night, at other pagent events prior to the televised event. It had nothing to do with the pagent being 'fixed' and it had nothing to do with Miss Mexico's not making the top 10.

And, "Mexico" didn't boo Miss USA -- a few, select (but loud) uncivilized Mexicans who attended a beautiful and respectful event booed her.

Why? Because they are frustrated by a lot of things in their own lives, because it is easier for them to just blame the US for all of it instead of trying to understand the root of their frustration and/or fix anything.

Keep in mind, this is the same country whose Congress members THROW FURNITURE at one another during congressional sessions. I mean, if the leaders of the country can't find healthy solutions to their problems, how do they expect the rest of the population to fare?

A combination of politics and the fact that Miss Mexico did not make it into the top 5 while Miss USA did despite her fall.

Because she is from the USA, and mexicans are poor sports. She made the top 5 because she did not have a fat *** like the Mexico girl!

I do not like the usa girl, but it's still very uncalled for to BOO someone that did nothing to you.

It had nothing to do with USA falling down. It was pure politics and such a terrible way to show how they feel about the US.

Hopefully, the organizers will consider politics when choosing the location for 2008.

here's the video of the fall, and the most likely reason she was booed at the end big time is because she fell and made the top5 while miss Mexico didn't.

I was wondering the same thing. She fell, got up and was very poise for the rest of the evening gown presentation. Her answer was great too. Why can't we just show respect for each other?

We need to close our borders and stop all aid and just take care of ourselves and then lets see who comes to the rescue the next time some nut starts killing millions of his own people; or some other country starts invading other countries.
