Yes, he is an awesome singer. I love his voice, especially in Seasons in the Sun.

yes, he was around in the 70's I thought he was very good.
He went back to being a Muslim but now he's recording again.

Yes, he was quite good for his time -- early 70's.
He changed his name to Yusef when he converted to Islam. He just put out a new album but I have no idea if its good.
