Actually, moving is great for making new friends. People will be curious about the new girl. It's a chance to start with a clean slate. Just be open and approachable and don't be afraid to say hi to people. Make sure you get out and do stuff so you can meet people though. You won't meet them sitting inside. Walking your dog (if you have one) or just going for walks yourself is a good way to meet people. Sit outside with a magazine, book, crosswords or Sudoku so you have a better chance of meeting your neighbors. Look at it like an adventure because most of life is just that.

I know how you feel, my family moved around a lot while I was growing up. I joined volleyball and the drama club at my new schools...what interests you? I also volunteered and joined art classes outside of school to expand my circle of friends. If you start with a group or sport, you have a common interest to build off of.

Believe it or not....... You can make more friends in a shorter time by becoming interested in other people
rather than trying to get other people interested in you.
Sit back and think about it! Why should people be interested in you, unless you are first interested in them?

Hai - distant friends are like stars in the sky can not speak or enjoy - then what is the use of a friend - a friend in need is a friend in deed.give your details - hobbies will it suit me ? is a big issue.

I grew up moving from one place to another, always worrying about the same thing ; Will I have friends ? Don't worry about it ! There is plenty of people out there, & yes of course you will make friends (:

if u have friends from wherever u are right now, keep in touch with them. i'm sure if u r a nice person u will make friends. just be erself and people will notice u.

I guess that would depend on your personality, and willingness to socailize, but I don't see why you couldn't make new friends.

you can have friends ANYWHERE. itll be hard at first, but try to use the fact ure new as an advantage.
