Sorry, but it's not because I'm scared of war that I opposed Iraq. It's because I DON'T SUPPORT WAR BASED ON LIES AND BULLSHIT.
And I DID oppose the Iraq invasion from the get-go. Hell, I voted against Bush BOTH TIMES. I KNEW HE SUCKED BEFORE HE EVER TOOK OFFICE.

"Diplomacy and strategic cooperation" must be used from a position of strength and with a real threat of retaliation. This is simply a fact - ask Jimmy Carter if diplomacy and strategic cooperation alone is a good policy when dealing with Iran.
The war in Iraq could well be a strategy of military positioning - the Iranians know this - our battle group carriers off of Iran's coast are not just tourist attractions - they're the big stick behind the soft voice.

Wow! Self righteous, arrogant, and absolutely wrong. The first and really only true problem with your whole question is the assumption that you are some how smart. You can't say "I told you so" when no liberal has ever offered a better plan. It's easy to take the high road and say "we shouldn't have", thank God Bush took care of this problem now so we wouldn't have to deal with it again. You liberals like to mortgage our future for peace now, but it's like a credit card, you never seem to realize that eventually you'll have to pay.

Dang that Pelosi chick. She tried this earlier and stole Bush's thunder. How dare she really. He had it planned earlier and she stepped in. Think maybe we should have gotten them involved prior to going into Iraq and making a huge unfixable unmanagible mess? I still think something is going on here....they get Iraq in the long run, they build a bomb and control all that Oil as Haliburton still does business there....now they have most the Oil and a bomb to defend it....scary thought isnt it.

no, it's not ok to say "We told you so." We should stand united as one nation no matter what Bush does right or wrong. What's done is done and it doesn't change anything if Bush admits he was wrong, or reveals the intensions of the war ever (he won't). Hopefully we will learn from mistakes made. It would be tragic if we don't.

Not at all. Here's why:
Just because you don't like war does not mean you deserve credit for calling Iraq. If our country had always avoided war, we would be a british colony (american revolution), or divided and afraid to confront slavery (civil war), or speaking German or Japanese (ww2). Avoidance of war regardless of reasons is cowardice. Standing up for what's right and facing failure is courageous.
