I don't think Israel wants peace.
Israel cries they are defending themselves at every turn yet more Palestinians are murdered constantly, their land is stolen from them, their homes are bulldozed, a radical Rabbi living in the west bank calls for extermination of all Palestinian males 13 years and older.

How can there be peace?

September 29, 2000, approximately 3.9 Palestinians have been killed for every Israeli killed
At least 19 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli military on Friday November 3, 2006, including two women, and other civilians. No Israelis were killed.
According to casualty figures from the Israeli human rights organization B'Tselem March 29, 2006 through November 3, 2006, 491 Palestinians were killed by Israelis while 19 Israelis killed by Palestinians, 25.8 Palestinians killed for every Israeli. Since July 1 that ratio has increased to 76.2 Palestinians killed per Israeli, with 381 Palestinians killed versus just five Israelis.

Again............. Israel does not want peace

Israel will make peace with the Palestinians with it's own conditions; like: all the Jewish settlements in the West Bank must stay, etc. This doesn't work. If Israel really wants peace then it would apply Oslo Accords immediately, but it seems that these accords are not on it's mood. So there will be no peace with the Palestinians and Israel is the only winner in this because "war" is destroying the Palestinian Territories as its obviously seen. Moreover, the Jewish settlements are still growing.

it is not the Israelis that are having the problem.. it is the Palestinians that can't or won't make peace.. The only way they can justify their existence is to create conflict... You must understand that the Palestinians are muslim..they hate Jews.. their sole purpose in life is to destroy the Jews.. it is Biblical.. I say yes that the Israelis can make peace with the palestinians.. but the question is will the Palestinians make and keep peace with Israel? I say that the answer to that is NO.

No, and it surely doesn't help that the Palestinians are launching shells into Israel on a daily basis and that Israel consistently bombs the Palestinians, almost killing their Prime Minister twice.

I don't know...To me it seems that Israel doesn't want to make peace with anyone. If it would really want then they would hold peace talks ,not attack different countries for no reason and then complain that those the governments of those countries refuse to have peace talks...
And then also it would accept any help from anyone.Like the "land for peace" treaty proposed by the Arab leaders that Israel refused from the start... As long as Israel refuses to have any peace talks,I don't believe that Israel really wants peace...

Prospects look dim when Hamas leads the Palestinians and their charter calls for Israel's destruction. Could you make peace with such an organization?

probably not, at least not for several generations.
remember, there are centuries of distrust - the arabs and jews have been fighting all the way back to ishmael and isaac.
and currently, with hamas and other violent palestinian groups calling for the anniliation of israel... well, that's kind of hard to reconcile with.

Maybe if the Palestinians would stop committing terrorism. I mean face it. You can't very well make peace with people whom teach their young to strap bombs to themselves to kill innocent people.

It would end if the Arab nations would discipline the Palestinians.

If you put the onus on Israel, then probably not. They are the defenders of their sovereignty and would be foolish to give that up unilaterally. My answer would change if the question were not skewed this way.
