Yes............I think both are clingy. A man or boy that is in "lerv" will be as clingy as a horny puppy dog. Same works for females. I kind of think it has more to do with the persons state of mind and how they are dealing with the relationship and the clingyness can work both ways. I have not ever considered myself to be clingy but I have been at times. I think it has more to do with where a person is at mentally and emotionally than with the gender of the person. I hope thats not too abstract or evasive.

In my honest opinion and humble experience, I would have to say that females are more clingy than males.
If a male appears to be clingy, it makes him look weak, in a way, and not very manly or virile, to say the least, lol!
I know that may sound crazy or even stupid, but that's the way the human mind works I'm afraid.
Hope this helps... at least a little bit, lol!

Females tend to usually be a lot more clingy than males.
Women in general find it a lot more difficult to become sexually involved with another human being without feeling some kind of connection on an emotional level at least.
This has been proven over and over again.
That being said, it's not the case for every single female on the face of this earth, of course!

It's an individual thing. I think it's a pretty even deal. I've dated guys before I was married who were extremely clingy. For some reason, females are known of as clingy.
When a guy is clingy, he's labeled "possessive".

I was very clingy when I was in my late teens/early 20's. (Boy, have things changed). I think clinginess is a form of expression when one has little self-esteem or self-confidence. And I have heard of/met many more women with this problem than men. So I think women are more clingy as a whole.
That being said, you still have to take everyone on a one-to-one basis. Just because it may be more true for women than men, it certainly doesn't make it true for all women.

I'm a clingy guy trying to reform myself... hate that 'weakness' in my character. So really I think the characterization that women are more clingy may be true overall, but really comes down to the person.
Guys are just as capable of displaying that behaviour.
Peace (yea, another fence-sitting position)

Some boys are clingy, some are the opposite, depends on a few things like if they were nurtured as a child, if they are needy, if they are insecure....if they like hugging a lot....same rule applies to girls....I think in my humble opinion that there are equal amount of boys and girls that cling and those that don't the bad thing is the ones that usually don't want the cling are the ones stuck with it.

I don't think it has to do with the sex of a person, more to do with relationships from the past, even family relationships. Clingy people have usually felt abandoned by someone to cause this. It's a security issue.
