You will have bleeding ranging from spotting to heavy, and it will be bright red. You will also pass clumps of tissue that may look gray or white. You will continue to test positive for a pregnancy test because of the hormones in your body. I would not use "contractions" to describe what would be felt, it feels more like a bad period.

Mine started with just light cramping and some bleeding. WIthin a couple of hours I was passing clots and had extremely bad cramping. I haven't been through labour yet so I can't really say it was contractions but I can tell you I have NEVER had cramping that bad during a period! I felt like I constantly needed to push. The pain lasted for hours after my miscarriage.
You will test positive after a miscarriage since it takes a while for the hormone levels to return to normal.
Every woman and pregnancy is different. Some people have little or no pain and their levels return to normal within a week or so and some women are total opposite.

Common signs of an impending miscarriage include back pain, cramping, and bleeding. There are many types of different miscarriages some will end and seem like a period getting rid of all of the fetus while others will need the help of a doc sometimes referred to as a D/C he will go in and make sure he gets everything out. If everything does not come out on its own you could get and infection. And if you are very far along you can get contractions and have the baby that way sometimes the doctor will cause contractions using a drug called pitocin to make a lady have her baby. So there are many types of miscarriages. shortly after a miscarriage the hormone in your body starts to go down that causes a + Oreg test so depending on how far along in your miscarriage depends if the test reads +. Good luck I hope you are not facing this.

I sadly went through this in Jan of this year.

I had very sharp pains on one side and yes they would come and go like contractions and they got more and more painful as the hours went by.

I also done a test that day to see if anything had changed and it still showed positive even though I was starting to bleed and was in a lot of pain.

What it felt like contractions got worse and worse I got sent straight to A&E and then the product (that is what they called the baby) just come out it was so very sad my husband and I cried our eyes out. I was then admitted into hospital overnight and was nil by mouth incase they had to do surgery to get any remains that may still be in there. the pains were less in tense however still painful.

The blood clots were still bad the next day.

I dont wish this on anyone!!

Please take care and I hope I have answered some questions for you.

:o(

So sad.

Hello
If your ae bleeding, then you need to stay real quiet and lay down. That's what I was told by the doctor when I was a few weeks pregnant and I had a few drops of blood. They said if the bleeding worsened or continued to go back to the hospital. There, since I was bleeding a lot, they did a gynecological examination and confirmed to me that it was a misscarriage... I just bled for a couple of days, like hwen you have your period

I miscarried triplets and had a D&C on the 23rd of April I purely ended my first era for the reason that then the day till finally now at the second one. at the same time as you're stressful about it dont wait till finally you imagine of you want to have had a era your body continues to be dealing with alot. Dont to at residing residing house attempt on the grounds so that you've were given the hormones from the being pregnant flow to the Dr and get a beta. they'd prefer to do 2 some days aside to exercising consultation if the # doubles. reliable fulfillment with all of it.

I have never had one...but friends have. My understanding is if it is an early miscarriage, you start bleeding and it is just like having a heavy, cramping period.

Friends/acquaintenances who have had later miscarriages (20+ weeks) started out with bleeding, followed by a doctor's visit/ER visit whereby they found there was an issue and delivered the baby, who was already gone. Yes, it was much like a normal delivery...
