I'd like to be a column writer for my school's newspaper and I'm seeking suggestions for a theme for my column. I will be writing this column a few times a week for 3 months, so I need something that I could write at least 20 separate articles on. Any suggestions?

How about an article on a student? Talk to one, find out what interests he/she has in and out of school, and what his/her personality is like. And talk to a friend or teacher to get an outside opinion.

Don't just do your friends, either, although you might want to start there just to get the column rolling. Once you do, pick out people you don't know at all. It's fun starting fresh. If you have trouble, thinking of a club at school and pick someone from the club. "So, Jim, what do the people in the drama club do after school? Why do you like it? Does everyone want to be on the stage?"

water wars shortage of water in Africa as opposed amount at your school. drama clubs. bands . the leave no child behind program. whether specific tests for school are necessary. the belief perpetuated in hollywood movies about the girl who gets into the'' elite'' school then ask if this is so important if other schools can have standards similiar or if the idea of a ''prestigious'' school is sucha good idea.maybe education should just be good for everyone .
