You know the answer to that one, and it wasn't Dictator-for-Life Chavez that performed any rescues.

Recently Chavez NATIONALIZED the petroleum industries of Venezuela.
In the process he did not compensate the US owned petroleum producers that helped him develop his oil fields at the their expense, and at his encouragement. Those U.S. oil producers were cheated out of something more than $18 Billion.
Meanwhile some stupid U.S. citizens still buy their gasoline from Citco gas stations. Citco is owned by Chavez. Anyone LIKE subsidizing Communism?
He was elected as the "President" of Venezuela by popular vote. Not surprising if you check the history of their previous administrations.
Do you think the people will EVER get another chance at an honest election?

Bush - freed 42 people from terrorist prison
Chavez - shut down TV station using government troops against his own people.
It is very clear which one loves freedom more.

Yeah I am sure GW had anything to do with the freeing of those people. He probably found out on the news like everyone else. Hugo is a moron, why compare the two. Only thing Hugo is good for is making funny but true statements about our moron. They both suck, there how is that for an answer. Why would you even try to compare the two....stupid really.

Chavez ordered the TV station shut down himself. Bush likely didn't hear about the rescue until after the fact. Any attempt to compare the two is, frankly, silly.

Chavez is too busy oppressing his own people and killing those that oppose him to be engaged in rescue missions to save people being TORTURED by TERRORISTS.
So I would have to say that Bush is the commander who leads the army that saved those people and Chavez is the one who shutdown the TV station.
Did I get it right?
Starks--at least he was in uniform and he didn't run to England to hide.

Great question! Bush freed the prisoners while Hugo silences the press in his country.
