What are people's opinions on how JFK was killed? I think that he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald from the bushes and then the driver slowed down and shot him in the head. That's why his wife was climbing out; because she didn't want to be killed by the driver.

Instead of trying to figure out who exactly killed JFK we can actually see the timing of his killing and if that fits into any thing meaningful. With respect to Warren commission report, and the fact that people have pointed out here about nothing else proved outside of Warren commission official report is there isn’t any thing available to prove, all the witnesses who were supposed to give a testimony have died or died under suspicious circumstances totaling more than 100 official documents have been locked up. Besides that some very important things have remained a mystery like why were there so much lapse of security for JFK that day. What about other pieces of critical information never ever taken consideration by the report like other bullet pieces at the scene besides the 3 official ones? I also want to remind people that House Select committee on assassinations have done a investigation into the case and have concluded that assassination might have been part of conspiracy, they also used an audio recording at the time of shooting and some experts in audio have concluded with 95% accuracy that there was shot fired from the grassy knoll. As I said Oswald might have killed or not killed JFK, what matters is the official report had lots of holes and that there is clear and deliberate attempt by some body tying to stop answers from coming out in this case. The truth will never ever come out in any body’s lifetime. What people can do here is to get information from all the sources both Warren commissions as well as from conspiracy theories and be the their best judge.

I recently finished a book on the subject, titled "Triangle of Death." It details how the South Vietamneese and the French Mafia arrainged the assasination.

The book asserts that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the shooter because he did not have the skill nor the proper equipment to carry out the job.

The book also claims that there was a known French assasin in Dallas at the time of the assasination and he was immediately picked up and deported by the US Government after the killing.

Of course, their seems to be facts everywhere you look that would make you think one thing and eliminate another.

Have you ever noticed that when something terrible happens, one of two things happen. Either groups or people from all over representing various factions claim responsibility, or because it is too horrible to believe, conspiracy theories evolve as to explain that which is too difficult to comprehend.
We see the first example often in Europe or the Middle East when a terrorist attack occurs. Groups wishing they had done the terrible destruction claim ownership to boast their cause in the name of fear. The Second example has happened with the death of JFK, Diana, Princess of Wales and the events of 9-11.

The 26 volumes of the Warren Commission is very comprehensive. Although I have always worried it was rushed, it is quite complete. As with any investigation, matters which seemed unimportant at the time make themselves known later and you wish that lead had been investigated. Such is hindsight. Lee Harvey Oswald was om the sixth floor of the Texas School Book depository where he worked, this is indisputable and not in the bushes. If another shot was fired from the grassy knoll, it has never been proven. Since the Warren Commission was released, no other theory has been proven as fact. This is important to remember as there have been thousands of theories and books on the subject, but none have been proven as fact. Mrs. Kennedy did exclaim during the shooting "they are going to shoot( kill) us all!". Why she used the word "they" is a mystery. The a portion of the top of the President's skull was on the back of the limo and another piece was recovered on the roadside and delivered to Parkland Memorial Hospital.

William Manchester did an exhaustive book called "The Death of a President". It is remarkable because it was released in 1967 but researched soon after the events. It is perhaps the only complete record of who was where and said what in that time. It is the only record of fact in which Mrs. Kennedy and the Kennedy family openly spoke about their thoughts, feelings and whereabouts during the assassination and days afterword. It is a remarkable book. Whenever I need to refamiliarize myself with the reality of those sad days in November, I turn to his book to see what was happening. In the hardcover edition, there is a minute by minute chronology of events from landing in Texas until the President is buried. I urge you to read this book and the Warren Commission before getting wrapped up on the many conspiracy books on the market, many of which I own and have read.

To this day I still believe Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed President Kennedy. There are many questions to be sure, but no answers to these other questions or theories. Forever it will remain an enigma, and the papers sealed until 2063 will likely shed little light on those days in Dallas.

Jimmy "the Weisel" Frattiano claimed that Giancana (the then Boss of Bosses out of Chicago) gave the go ahead for Marcello (of New Orleans) to carry out the assassination. It involved Castro (who had a grudge after finding out the CIA was behind the Bay of Pigs Invastion) so he got a patsy (Oswald) from the Russians to carry-out the deed. Marcello's beef was a result of RFK's investigations into organized crime. To cover the link to the Mafia, Marcello had Jack Ruby (a two bit night club owner in the Marcello organization) take out Oswald to seal his lips.

Giancana's beef with JFK was his impression that JFK renigged on promises to leave the Mafia alone since he felt he pulled strings in Chicago to get him elected.

Several weeks before the assassination, Oswald met with Cuban agents in Mexico. For inexplicable reasons, the FBI agents who were following up the Cuban connection as a part of the Warren Commission investigation, were recalled

I think it was done by Oswald and at least two others. They were there in case Oswald missed a shot.

My opinion, it's the greatest coincidence of all time. I think there were 2 shooters, Oswald and someone on the grassy knoll. Two different plans, they didn't know about each other.Oswald shot first , thats when Kennedy slumped forward and Jacky looked at him, then the second shooter, from the grassy knoll , hit him in the head. that's when he shot backwards, Jacky was looking at him and saw part of his skull fly backwards, that's what Jacky was doing chasing that piece of skull. In some of the films you can see the piece coming off his head and one of the secret service guys said he saw that. He said Jacky was already in shock, saying something about , I have to get it. It was the secret service man riding on the back bumper.

The events happened precicely as the were reported in the Warren Commision Report.
I used to believe that there was probably a conspiracy until I read the entire report.
It refutes every single conspiracy, decisively.

Also, check out the new book from Vincent Bugliosi-Reclaiming History
It is been called the final word on the matter.

I believe Skyhawk's answer is probably as close to the truth as we're going to know, until the government finally releases the classified information on the assassination.

Who exactly shot him really doesn't matter.
What does matter is that the Kennedy family was and is still highly involved in the mob and organized crime.
